Why we are here today.
The story behind our mission
Hi my name is Alisdair Cameron and I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in January 2016. I thought I had beaten it when I was told I was in remission in June 2016. However, I relapsed in May 2017 and I was advised to undergo a Stem Cell Transplant which took place in August 2017. The transplant was a success, but now I suffer from Graft Vs Host Disease (GVHD), which is a horrible condition that patients can suffer from after a transplant. Everyone always asks, how I got though it? The simple answer is Medicine, Love and Support, which is why on the 27th February 2020 I launched the Alisdair Cameron Trust, SC049991.
We know that we cant do this alone so we need you to help fight the fight together in hope that we can all win the battle against cancer.
